The following is the review that I just left on tripadvisor.com --I have just returned from a wonderful meal at the dining room in the Cinnamon Hotel in Colombo Sri Lanka. I asked the waiter about local seafood and he suggest grilled kingfish, which was not on the menu. It was excellent. The very mild sauce complemented the subtle flavors of the very fresh fish. The waiter Jeewaka Janath and the hostess Kari were both very helpful and generally very welcoming.
I arrived in Colombo after two nights spent on airplanes. The hotel staff has really extended themselves in my introduction to the hotel and made it enjoyable. They have been friendly with a very personal touch and also provided extra services without me asking for them.
